Beginner's Guide

New to SkyBlock? This beginner's guide walks you through your first days on the server: setting up your island, earning your first currency and making your first upgrades. Do the stages in order.

Stage 1: Create Your Island

• Run /is create <name> and pick an island. Classic and OG come with a starter chest (saplings, bone meal, ice, lava and bread). Pick Classic if you're unsure.
• Use /is go any time to get back home.
• Right-click the Nether Star in your last hotbar slot to open the SkyBlock Menu.
• Plant the saplings and some wheat seeds from your starter chest so they grow while you explore.

Stage 2: Claim Your Free Stuff

• Open /deliveryman and claim your daily reward (a free Terra Crate Key).
• Run /vote and vote on every site. Each vote gives a Vote Crate Key and 30 minutes of island fly.
• Open your keys with /crates. Early crates give Money, spawners and handy wands.
• You already have an Omni Backpack. Your drops go into it, and its Sell All button turns them into Money.

Stage 3: Meet Your OmniTool

Your OmniTool is every tool in one. Each mode earns its own currency, and that currency buys that mode's enchants:

Stage 4: Get Your First Generators

• Go to the PvE area around spawn and kill the Guardians, Brutes and Archers.
• Every kill drops Generator Fuel, and some drop Refined Fuel (worth 5).
• Each kill also has a small chance to drop a free level-1 Mobcoin, Farmcoin, Gemstone, Foraging or Lakecoin Generator.
• Place generators on your island, right-click to add fuel, and come back to claim what they made.

Stage 5: Buy Your First Enchants

Spend your tool currencies on cheap enchants first. These unlock early and pay for themselves fast:

Stage 6: Grow Your Island

• Unlock the Island Chest ($25,000) for extra storage you can share with your team.
• Upgrade Island Size ($50,000 for 75 blocks) so you have room for bigger farms.
• Buy a Chicken Spawner ($25,000) and kill the mobs on your island. 1,000 kills unlocks Sheep spawners.
• Keep farming wheat: 100,000 harvested unlocks Potatoes, and each crop unlocks the next. Check /is progression to see how close you are.

Stage 7: Level Your Skills

• Open /skills to see your five skills: Grinding, Fishing, Mining, Farming and Foraging.
• Skills level up automatically: killing mobs levels Grinding, catching fish levels Fishing, mining nodes levels Mining, harvesting crops levels Farming and chopping trees levels Foraging.
• Every skill level gives a small permanent boost to that skill's currency.
• Grinding: every 25 levels you get 1 Wicked Loot Box and 13 Credits.
• Fishing: every 50 levels you get 1 Wicked Loot Box and 13 Credits.
• Mining: every 25 levels you get 1 Wicked Loot Box and 13 Credits.
• Farming: every 25 levels you get 1 Wicked Loot Box and 13 Credits.
• Foraging: every 25 levels you get 1 Wicked Loot Box and 13 Credits.

Stage 8: Gear Up

• Your armor levels up just by playing. Open /armor to see its level, and max it out to unlock a better set.
• Pet Boxes from crates give pets that boost your currencies. Equip them in /pets (one of each type).
• Invite friends with your island menu. Island teams grow much faster together.

• Kill PvE mobs for fuel
